Last weekend saw the first Skegness Reggae Fest on Scarbrough Avenue, organised by Visit Lincs Coast and Lee Roberts.
While the weather wasn't great for the time of year, the rain held off and the cloudy conditions didn't seem to dampen anybody's mood. Various bands were performing live, including Jah Troopers, Cuttie Williams & The One Love Orchestra and Colin Star, with Walcott X presenting the event on stage.
The event was so well attended that some of the food stalls ran out of food by early evening on the Saturday, which shows just how popular it was. While I didn't taste the Carribean food myself, I did enjoy a burger at one of the stalls (followed by a hotdog later on). Our Mayor was also in attendance along with Steve O'Dare and the Jolly Fisherman.
